Salaryman is a Japanese term suggesting the white-collar worker. It also carries associations of long working hours, low prestige in the corporate hierarchy, wage slavery, and karÅshi (death by overwork!).
After working overtime six days a week, one would assume the only relief would be the age-old tradition of existential purging
-and thus, these guys drink till they drop!
Pawel Jaszczuk has spent that last months, at ungodly hours seeking these hopeless leftovers of a night on a binge.
The zine is covered by intricate Chiyogami (Japanese hand screen printed paper), but once past this apparent, contrasting, cover up of appearances, one finds a wasteland of sprawled out workers
-the true expense of the corporate Juggernaut!
Call it schadenfreude or just plain immature, but one smirks when they notice a salaryman has wet himself....
